York St John University Rowing Club Boat House

Is probably the longest name I have ever given a model. I decided to add it in as its right up close to the wall. It is also a part of the St Mary’s Precinct. This morning I finished the little bit of wall by the river which completes the West run of the wall of St Mary’s Precinct. There is still a lot of the wall running along Bootham. It is half covered in buildings, so this might be a longer project to do it as I would like to include the shops.

In other news as I speak there is a Google Earth 3D layer update going on right now. Some new bits of the wall have already popped up. This is making the skyline of York look really stunning. This morning I also sifted the Google e-mails to work out what’s what. It would seem they where happy with 30 models and have asked me to improve 8. Not to bad really. The 8 seem to be easy fixes. Not sure why they have gone funny. They should be fixed for the next 3D layer update.

This weekend so long as the weather is ok I plan to get St Mary’s Abbey ruins done. Not sure how it might go. I have looked at other peoples models of ruined buildings for ideas. Could be an interesting build. I also plan t get some of the Kings Manor building sorted.
